Practical tools, clear knowledge and experiments built with AI.
About me
I am Nick van der Hoff: a product-minded technical specialist from the Netherlands. My background is in product management, technical sales, application engineering and installer-facing communication for heat pump and energy technology.
I like turning expert knowledge into practical tools, clear documentation and finished digital products. In recent years, I have focused strongly on using AI as a creative and technical co-builder: not just for ideas, but for actually making useful things.
What I build with AI
I create small, focused web apps and digital workflows that solve real problems. My projects usually combine technical content, product thinking, automation, structured knowledge and a simple user experience.
- AI-assisted web apps for practical decision support
- Knowledge bases and support content designed to be easy for both people and LLMs to read
- Installer-facing tools, training flows and troubleshooting content
- Local AI experiments for image generation, storytelling and agent workflows
- Personal productivity systems that turn messy notes into usable outputs
How I work
I am a communicative engineer: analytical, pragmatic and creative. I enjoy simplifying complex technical topics, finding the real user need behind a request, and shipping something that people can actually use.
My preferred way of working is fast, iterative and hands-on. I use AI to move from rough idea to working prototype, from expert knowledge to readable content, and from scattered information to clear structure.
Current focus
My current focus is building AI-supported tools and content around energy technology, installer communication, support workflows and personal web projects. The goal is simple: make useful things, make them understandable, and make them easy to improve.
